5 Sure Ways To Become a Mzansi Celebrity
Not everyone can become a Mzansi celebrity in their lifetimes but if you love the spotlight and you would want to give it a try, here are the 5 best ways to increase your chances of becoming one.
1. Be a politician
This is certainly one of the fastest ways to get you that Mzansi celebrity status. We have all seen how so many people have sprung to popularity after getting into politics (Julius Malema, Mcebo Dlamini, Cyril Ramaphosa etc.). To top it all off, once you have secured yourself in politics, expensive cars, mansions and clothes usually follow and that will just be the icing on the cake.
2. Be a House DJ
If you have a passion for house music and you have the skill and talent to back it all up then becoming a South African house music DJ will surely get you that Mzansi celebrity status pretty quickly. You don’t believe us? You only have to look around at DJ Black Coffee, DJ Tira, and DJ Euphonik etc. to name just a few. The good thing about it is that there is no age limit in terms of when you can start (or even when you can to stop). 4 year old DJ Arch Junior stands as proof of this.
3. Post some n_udes on social media
This one is a killer. If you really have no time or any talent whatsoever to build up your Mzansi celebrity status then don’t be depressed. There are plenty of Mzansi celebrities that have sprung up by just merely posting a few n_ude pictures or videos of themselves on social media. Sometimes you do not even have to do it yourself. If you have a bitter ex you just have to make sure that they have access to the nu_des because 90 percent of the times they will leak them online for you. The good thing about this is that you usually become a celebrity overnight. You just need to be fairly attractive. (Zodwa WaBantu, Buhle Mkhize, Khanyi Mbau, Pam Andrwews)
4. Become a weird pastor
This one takes a little bit of time but it works. The recipe is as follows. First open up a church and give it a really fancy and catchy name. Something like “holy fire ministries” will do. You have to make sure that the name ends with “ministries” otherwise the name will not be a good one. After that invite a few church members and prove to them that you are the real deal. You usually do this by making them eat grass or sometimes snakes just so that they can see for themselves that they will not die or fall sick in your church.
5. Be an actor on Generations
For this one you have to have some really good acting skills. Generations is one of the most watched soaps in Mzansi and if you land yourself a role there you will be rest assured that you will become an instant Mzansi celebrity. If you cannot land yourself a role on Generations do not despair. There are other equally popular soaps that you can try to get on such as Muvhango, Skeem Saam etc.
