‘MAJOR LEAGUE WON’T PAY UP’!
MAJOR League DJz allegedly refused to sign a court summons on Saturday. It was issued for Matthews Matle, who claims twins Bandile and Banele Mbere owe him R4 000 for a gig they didn’t pitch up at.
He claimed he booked them to play in 2014 at a launch and after they failed to show up, they promised to perform in March 2015.
They allegedly dropped him again and he asked for a refund.
He said they never deposited the money and he gave them the summons at their concert at FNB Stadium in Soweto on Saturday, as it seemed that was the only way to get to them.
He said he was told he had to return with cops.
“It was too late to go to the police station, and eventually I was let in.”
He said they refused to sign, saying a concert wasn’t the right place.
“They were very rude. They must sign before the court date.”
When the SunTeam called Bandile, he said: “No one came to the concert with court papers. He’s lying.
“If he says we owe him, he must come to us or our lawyer will give him a call.”
